Research Info
The Speech Research Lab conducts basic and applied research in the areas of Speech Science and Speech Technology. We seek to apply our research to address the needs of users, especially children, in the AAC community. To that end, we are developing natural sounding software speech synthesis (ModelTalker), developing tools for articulation training for children (STAR), and doing research on speech processing and speech recognition for persons with disabilities.
