Return to ICSLP 96

Dear Exhibitor,

You are cordially invited to join us at the 1996 International Conference on Spoken Language Processing (ICSLP 96). This conference will be held October 3rd through 6th, 1996 in the Wyndham Franklin Plaza, Philadelphia's largest conference hotel.

Exhibiting at ICSLP 96 will be an excellent opportunity for you to gain exposure among a group of people with a vested interest in products and services geared for the speech processing community. An international community of over 800 researchers, developers, and clinicians will be attending ICSLP, and they will be looking to exhibitors for solutions to their speech processing needs. This year the conference will be placing greater emphasis on clinical applications of speech technology and on the use of speech technology based applications for persons with disabilities.

We encourage you to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to share your ideas, products, and services with an organization dedicated to bringing together people interested in all aspects of spoken language processing.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely yours,

H. Timothy Bunnell, Ph.D. - Chair, ICSLP 96

Debra Yarrington - Exhibits Coordinator, ICSLP 96

Conference Information

ICSLP

ICSLP is an interdisciplinary conference dedicated to promoting the exchange of ideas and information for the advancement of spoken language processing. ICSLP provides a forum for individuals to share insights and knowledge on a wide variety of topics, ranging from the linguistic, psychological, physiological, physical, and acoustical aspects of the spoken language to technologies involving the analysis, synthesis, coding, recognition and understanding of the spoken language by humans and machines as well as problems of acquisition, learning and aids for individuals with disabilities.

Conference Background

ICSLP 96 is the fourth in a series of biennial international conferences. The conference was founded in 1990 in Kobe, Japan with an attendance of around 350 people. Since then attendance has more than doubled, proving the value of a conference dedicated solely to spoken language processing between humans and machines. In 1996 we are anticipating an attendance of approximately 800 people from around the world.

Philadelphia, PA, USA

Philadelphia is located centrally to both Washington, D.C. and New York. It also has its own international airport located 15 minutes from the hotel. The original capitol of the United States, Philadelphia is one of the most historic cities in the nation. The Wyndham Franklin Hotel is located in the heart of Philadelphia's historic district and is within walking distance of the Franklin Institute and the Philadelphia Art Museum. October is a temperate month in Philadelphia, with average temperatures a comfortable 66o and the leaves turning beautiful autumn colors.

Exhibits:

The Exhibit Hall in the Wyndham Franklin Plaza is spacious and centrally located, so exhibits will get tremendous exposure to all participants. We have included unopposed exhibit hours every day. Friday night will be set aside for exhibits, with exhibits being open an extra hour and a half after conference hours. At that time a cash bar will be offered in the exhibit hall. Please refer to the Exhibit floor plan to help determine your desired booth location.
